Where do I even begin, at the beginning of 2026 I faced a crucial moment in my life after being in the Netherlands for almost 5 years (4.7 years to be exact), on a HSM visa I got laid off by my employer due to a restructuring and I had 3 months to secure a new job with a new employer who can sponsor me on a HSM visa. 2026 proved to be difficult with job applications getting rejected left, right and centre which was very frustrating. Having a thriving zzp(bedrijf) on the side, I decided to explore going for the self-employed visa to remain in the Netherlands and that's where I got in touch with Edward who on the first call, provided me with information about a business consultant that could help me structure and prepare my application in a professional matter that the IND requires. (He didn't need, to provide me all that information) if he wasn't certain I would take up their service but he did it anyway (which I appreciated).
