I always have a nice experience with Kickstart. This time I took the online Stepping Stone III course with Joke, my first time trying an online course with Kickstart. The online format worked well and Joke is a great teacher who knows how to facilitate an online calssroom and keep it engaging. She points out when we make grammar mistakes in an encouraging way, and whenever there is a ***l in the conversation during class as can often happen in an online format she is able to keep the conversation running smoothly and keep students engaged. This is not an easy thing to do and Joke really did an amazing job on this. For the homework, I found the schrijfopdrachten especially helpful because we received specific feedback from the teacher before class. It helped me understand what I needed to work on and gave me concrete examples of things to ask about during class. Overall a great experience where I learned a lot. Thank you to the Kickstart team for a great course :)

I had a very nice and helpful course with Joke Bouwmeester. She is definitely one of the best Dutch teachers I've ever had. The lessons were well-structured, exciting and interactive. I was forced to speak a lot (thanks for this!), so after starting as one of the group's worst students, I got up to the same level as them. I genuinely enjoyed this course, I am sure it significantly contributed to developing my Dutch language skills.

Very nice course where I improved my Dutch, there were a lot of opportunities to speak and practice Dutch. The course was well designed. Carine is a good teacher and explains the grammar very clearly.

I feel like I learned a lot, but the lectures were sometimes unorganized and led to confusion or feeling very rushed just to get through content.

Lots of great content, lessons, homework support this course which aided learning of Dutch. Would take kickstart lessons again, even by zoom they are pretty good. Suggest in future smaller breakout groups for speaking practice would be good addition as limited chance to practice talking in the lessons.

Good online studies. However program is quite tight. Grammar is explained very fast. Woild be good to slow down a bit, and repeating 2nd time as for me. Also repeating at which page we are currently. Connection interrupts sometimes and my homemates might distract and i dont recognise which exersise we are doing.

It was quite good. The teacher was very polite and patient. Would recommend for sure.

I like the pace of the lessons and the (extra) exercises and notes (beyond the NIG book). I like our teacher...he is fun and relaxed. I didn't feel intimidated during classes.

I really enjoyed the course. We practiced a lot of vocabulary, which helped me to stay motivated to learn new words. Grammar was clearly explained and there was a lot of time to practice speaking

There are quite a lot of homework so make sure you have enough free time.

Im very pleased with the course, the teacher was very good and the materials and structure as well. However sometimes i don’t have the time for all the homework, and sometimes felt overwhelmed by so much new vocabulary

I thoroughly enjoy these Dutch classes. And the tempo at one class per week is super practical. Our teacher is very helpful, patient and fun.

I have taken many different Dutch courses, this one is the only one that made a difference for me.

The experience was quite good. I have taken a previous language course in the Netherlands, but this one was much better. One minor criticism is that the homework material could have been made more easily accessible, the links in the pdf we had didn't always lead to the stated homework or exercise.

I learnt a lot thanks to her! She has a lot of patience, which is really appreciated when learning a language that is quite different to your mother tongue.

I have been recommended through a coach. It’s not actually the most practical as I live in Rotterdam, but I think the trip is worth it. Our teacher is very friendly and open, interacting with her is very easy and natural. She’s able to answer any of our questions in a satisfying and informative way. Maybe it’s more the role of teachers rather than administration, but I feel like en email as a reminder of the course material that will be viewed could be sent within the week. It can be automated and can help some people keep track.

I particularly enjoyed this course and I feel much more confident with my Dutch. Letty is a fantastic teacher, always full of energy and focused on keeping us all engaged in each lesson. The material is complete even with extra material. The lessons are very well organized and it is easy to prepare in advance. At the end of each lesson, Letty guided us on what to expect on the next lesson and how to best prepare for it, which makes it more enjoyable. Overall 5 star and thank you.

A good way of learning basics things. Perfect rythme. With a good atmosphere without any stress and a lot of fun.

Good for anyone that starts learning dutch anew or catch up, as a false beginner it really helped me get back my basics.
