Rejected as high risk
When trying to register at MyWheels I received the following answer:
"Dear Simon,
Thank you for sending the items [proof of address]. Unfortunately we couln't activate your account. Accounts can be deactivated for several reasons. It may have to do with the distance between your home address and the reserved car, for how long you've had your driver's license and for how long it will remain valid, which car you reserved, the personal details provided, and solvency. Sometimes activating an account poses a heightened risk for MyWheels, due to the factors mentioned above. This may have nothing to do with you personally, but unfortunately it means we will not activate your account. These checks are the only way to maintain a reliable community. We understand this is not a pleasant message to receive. Of course we will refund any payments already made. The amount will be transferred to your bank account as soon as possible. Unfortunately you can not rent a MyWheels car. Due to the new privacy laws, it is not possible to receive information regarding the reason for deactivation over the phone. The outcome of this check is definite and will not be overturned. Responses to this email will not be processed.
Kind regards Met vriendelijke groet, Aida MyWheels"
Apart from the fact that the tone of the response is not friendly, I have not the slightest clou what the problem could be. I will stay with Greenwheels.
